Angels Story |
By: Maureen Meister, founder and owner of The Natural Pet Wellness Center, in 1993. Our German Shepherd, Angel, was diagnosed with a malignant osteosarcoma in August, 1991. She was given "about 3 months" to live by our local veterinarian. A friend of mine gave me some books to read and the name of a veterinarian in South Salem, NY, at the Smith Ridge Veterinary Clinic. I immediately began to formulate the Blood Purifier capsule in Michael Tierra's book, The Way of Herbs, and began Angel on a natural (no dog food) diet, according to Richard Pitcairn's book, Natural Health for Dogs and Cats, and was instructed to send X-rays and blood work up to Smith Ridge. Angel was then put on a program of nutritional enzymes, immune system builders, etc., and I was advised by Smith Ridge of the proper vitamins and amounts, as well as the frequencies of dosage. Angel recieves Dr. Pitcairn's goldenseal tincture, pau 'd arco drops, anything I give her to fight cancer, all with Smith Ridge's approval and recommended dosages and frequencies. I have never slacked the program, even for a day, and it has been 18 months later and Angel goes everywhere with us. She has not limped or cried out in pain in over 17 months, her quality of life has improved tremendously, and we thank God and natural medicine every day for our success.
